Overactive hands and wrists can lead to all sorts of problems in your golf swing, including duck hooks caused by a closed face at impact. One way to calm your hands and groove a solid, stable move is to think about your chest as the stabilizing force of your swing.
Here is a simple drill. Hold a light, flat object like a frisbee or paper plate in your right hand. As you swing, think about keeping the frisbee or plate aligned with your right pectoral muscle, square to the target line at impact, and rotating naturally to the release position after impact.
As you can see in the images below, this drill will get your arms and hands in the right position when you substitute a golf club for your frisbee.
