For the launch of the Bridge Golf Foundation on June 11th, more than 100 guests filled the Central Park West home of Robert M. Rubin and Stephane Samuel.
Rubin and Farrell Evans told guests of hatching the plan for the nonprofit over a round of golf and a sushi lunch. David Banks, the CEO and President of The Eagle Academy Foundation, gave remarks about his organization’s new partnership with Bridge.
James Hammond, one of the foundation’s STEM consultants, gave an impassioned speech about his vision for the educational enrichment program. As an African-American male, father of three boys and professor of chemical engineering at the historically Black Howard University, he said that he felt a special calling to this project.
William Grant & Sons donated the spirits for the party, which was catered by The Bridge, the posh Hamptons golf club, owned by Rubin. The deviled eggs were a favorite among guest.
