After School Students Honored at End-of-Year Program

On Friday night, we recognized the young men who excelled in our after school program’s inaugural school year. Here are the seven awards and winners (photos below):

Student-Athlete of the Year: Zion Smith

Student-Athlete of the Month: Mark Jones

Frederick Douglass (Grit) Award: Noah Folks

Benjamin Banneker (Curiosity) Award: Antonio Cortorreal

STEM Scholar Award: Yohance White

Charlie Sifford Perseverance Award: Dameul McGill

Pete Brown MVP Award: Antonio Cortorreal

In addition to receiving these awards, our young men made STEM, golf and character education presentations to their families and staff from the Eagle Academy for Young Men of Harlem. We’ll be sharing details of these presentations all week.
