On National Golf Day, April 25, we celebrated our high school golfers’ second Public School Athletic League victory.
The team, representing the Eagle Academy for Young Men of Harlem and made up of players from The Bridge Golf Foundation’s after school program, defeated Eleanor Roosevelt High School, 4-1, on April 24 to improve to 2-3 on the season.
Coach Randy Taylor credited course management and putting for the win.
“We had a great pregame team meeting to discuss club selection and course management, and it really paid off,” he said. “Our players put a lot of thought into every shot in this win. Putting was also a huge improvement.”
