Our Student-Athlete for the month of April is Antonio Cortorreal. Here’s what our instructors had to say about his performance last month:
Antonio has really begun to maximize his effort. His desire to become a better student-athlete has been more than obvious to everyone who comes in contact with him. He routinely exhibits zest and resilience, which are helping him succeed in our program. When Antonio started in our program, his overconfidence was sometimes a problem, but he has become one of the most supportive and cooperative young men we have. – Reggie Mays, Jr., program coordinator
Since the beginning, Antonio has shown great enthusiasm and a real natural talent in STEM Lab. He seeks to understand the physical principles on a deep level and has an excellent intuition. He has also exhibited great leadership qualities. He is always willing to help his fellow student-athletes, and his positive attitude and excellent work ethic have been highly contagious. The sky is the limit for him. – Veeshan Narinesingh, STEM program leader
Antonio has been working very hard to improve his golf game and is driving himself to get better every day. It was very encouraging to see Antonio visit the Learning Center during spring vacation to put in some extra work on his game. Antonio is also learning the rules, etiquette, and the history of the game. Our coaches notice a higher level of confidence in Antonio along with his positive attitude. We are so proud of him, and look forward to his continued success with our foundation. – Randy Taylor, teaching professional
