On Sunday night, Dec. 10, Foundation students Noah Folks and Braylan Stewart attended the Heisman Trophy Award Gala at the Marriott Marquis in midtown Manhattan with Farrell Evans, our executive director and co-founder.
The Bridge Golf Foundation was featured in the gala’s program and in a video presentation about The Heisman Trophy Fund for Youth Development at The New York Community Trust. This fund, recently established by The Heisman Trophy Trust, supports New York City charitable organizations that use sports to engage underprivileged young people in educational activities.
And we weren’t the only golf-related charity featured at the event. Ernie Els received the Heisman Humanitarian Award for his work to help those with autism through Els for Autism. Els called his son, Ben, his “hero,” and said “golf has really given us a platform to get the word out about autism.”
It was an inspiring night, and we were honored to be a part of it.
