You’ve heard it a million times before: splash the ball out of the sand.
But how to practice it? Teaching Professional Brian Hwang demonstrates in this video. Choose a spot about an inch behind the ball, open your club face and stance slightly, and think about hitting that spot in the sand first. Also, many players put the ball too far back in their stance and take too much of an inside-out swing. Instead, Brian recommends relying on your normal ball position and swing path.
