High School Team Wins Three in a Row

Our high school players are more than halfway through their second season in the PSAL.

Our high school golf team has won three straight matches in the Public School Athletic League to improve to 3-2 with four matches remaining in the regular season.

The team, which represents The Bridge Golf Foundation and the Eagle Academy for Young Men of Harlem, defeated Community Health Academy of the Heights, 5-0, on April 11; Stuyvesant, 3-2, on April 16; and Hunter College High, 4-0, on April 18.

“This team is a group of special young men who are determined to be better players,” said Coach Randy Taylor. “We’ve come a long way from playing with plastic clubs on the hardwood floors of the Harlem YMCA. But this is just the beginning. I expect them to continue their hard work. I’m just proud to be their coach.”

Last year’s golf team, the first to represent an Eagle Academy in the PSAL, went 5-4 and won a playoff match before losing to Hunter College High in the second round of the playoffs.
