Learning Center Pros Get Early Look at TrackMan’s New Performance Putting

TrackMan is close to releasing Performance Putting, a new feature that will allow players to capture nine data points for every putt: Launch Direction, Ball Speed, Speed Drop, Roll Speed, Skid Distance, Roll Percentage, Effective Stimp, Side and Total Distance.

This feature is still in beta testing, but Jeff Viola, TrackMan’s sales rep for the Northeast, came by our Learning Center in Harlem on Wednesday to give Teaching Professionals Randy Taylor, Brian Hwang and Todd Bordonaro a demo.

In addition to the data captured by TrackMan, video is captured with an iPhone and integrated into the on-screen display. Viola also said TrackMan will be adding more data points “in the near future as we continue to develop the software.” You can learn more about Performance Putting on trackmangolf.com.

When this program is released, it will be a powerful new teaching and putter-fitting tool for our Foundation students and Learning Center customers.
