Months of hard work and preparation came together for our students and staff at our first annual Water Fair on June 3.
With a roomful of great student projects to choose from, the judges from Goldman Sachs Community Team Works had a tough job to do. They gave top honors to the Flint water crisis project, second to the Tower Garden, and third to the mobile tippy tap. We are very proud of all of our young men and staff for the work that went into this special day.
We could not have pulled off this event without the help of our partners: the Columbia Water Center at Columbia University, and the indispensable Nancy Degnan; the physics department at The City College of New York; and the Eagle Academy for Young Men of Harlem.
Special thanks to World Golf Hall of Fame member Betsy King for joining us to talk about Golf Fore Africa and our partnership to build three wells for villages in Zambia.
