Eagle Academy

Santana Rojas, a new student in our after school program, started playing golf when he was 7 and hopes to join our high school golf team in the near future.

This summer, our young men will be studying and playing. They will get outside and out of town. They will spend time in Harlem, the Bronx, Yonkers, Sag Harbor, and elsewhere. Come September, they will be more than ready to tackle the challenges of another school year.

Avion Phillip is a 15-year-old sophomore at Eagle Harlem who joined our after school program this spring. With their third-round playoff match about to start at La Tourette Golf Course in Staten Island on Tuesday, the young men on our high school golf team gathered around Coach Randy Taylor near the practice green.

Our high school golf team defeated Hunter College High in the PSAL playoffs on Thursday afternoon.

One of our Foundation's guiding principals is that golf teaches our young men skills that they can apply to all parts of their lives. Nowhere is this synergy more apparent than in our scientific focus on water.

Our high school team started the season with two tough losses, but we have seven matches left and playoff aspirations.

Young men from the Eagle Academy come to us every day after school for golf instruction, but we also bring golf instruction to Eagle.
